Attending college was new to his family. A native of West Monroe, Louisiana, Dr. LaVelle 亨德里克斯 learned the value of education from an early age. His aunt and uncle encouraged him to pursue excellence and use his knowledge to help those around him. 亨德里克斯对此耿耿于怀. The counseling discipline offered him the space to impact those around him. Whether in the college classroom or local ISD, 亨德里克斯 brings a wealth of knowledge in drug, 酒精和其他成瘾. There's work to be done, but 亨德里克斯 is one leader making this happen.

What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&移动商务?

A&移动商务 is a premier university that offers quality and affordable education. The university continues the rich tradition of educating Texans and others who walk through its doors. You will leave with new-found knowledge, a degree that competes with any university and memories to last a lifetime. What makes you passionate about counseling?

咨询 is a profession that allows individuals to experience change based on their stage of readiness. A tremendous amount of joy is exhibited when individuals reach their goals and achieve a sense of wholeness. As a counseling member who was given the opportunity to be a change agent, it's highly rewarding to have played such a role.

What do you like most about your career?

作为一个以学生为中心的教授, it's rewarding to see new students arrive on campus, 看着他们在学业上取得成功, socially and emotionally and ultimately graduate. Great honor is given when former students invite you to their weddings and other special events in their lives.
